The statewide Coalition includes 20+ people who provide critical statewide and sector insight. Individuals (some representing organizations or school districts), arts education teacher associations, students, Indigenous voices, and tribal nations are invited to join the coalition to ensure regional representation. The coalition refines the strategic plan, expands understanding of policy, develops resources for community involvement, and engages local communities in celebrating and expanding arts learning opportunities.Youth leaders play a critical advisory role and are paid for their participation.
Our goal in contracting with Coalition Partners is to represent intergenerational, cross-sector, and cross-agency reach in all four ArtsWA defined regions of the state (Eastern, Central, Northwest, Southwest) as well as beyond the I-5 corridor; as well as considering city and rural perspectives. Our intention is to bring people together with differing priorities and perspectives to identify and address diverse stakeholders’ needs across the state.
